Jans Bay

Moswakanisihk Community School is a modern Pre-K-8 facility with four classrooms and a library. Currently, there are approximately 60 students enrolled at the school with 3 teachers. The students and staff are energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy infusing their Métis culture into the school program.

Jans Bay is a small settlement of 150 people located on the shores of Canoe Lake. The town is only a 20 minute drive, on gravel highway, from Beauval, Logging and tourism are the main industries of the area. This is an attractive community in a lovely part of Northern Saskatchewan. The local council keeps the town active with its many organized community events throughout the year. Cable TV and internet access are available.
