Grade One Teacher (23/24) Hector Thiboutot Community School (Sandy Bay)

 

Sandy Bay is a community of over 1000 people on the eastern side of the division’s jurisdiction.  The town is located in the breathtaking beauty of the Precambrian Shield.  The waters of the local rivers and the rugged terrain provide great beauty and opportunities for spectacular fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. 

 

Hector Thiboutot Community School in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan is a designated K-12 community school with approximately 444 students.  There is a professional staff complement of 31supported by paraprofessional, clerical, and library staff.  Sandy Bay is a community of about 1500 located along the Churchill River system 443 km northeast of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

 

This is a full-time teaching position to start August 29, 2023.   The successful candidate must be eligible for Saskatchewan Professional A or Provisional Professional A teaching certification.

 

Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a northern living allowance.  Moving assistance may also be available.
